So we hit up the famous Magic show in Vegas. U know what they say .. what happens in vegas stays in vegas... well we brought some vegas back to baltimore. The magic show is a trade show held 2 times a yr .. its pretty much where the who of who in the fashion/ apparel/manufacturing industry come to either sell or buy.. and we went there to get schooled and schooled did we get :)

we got mad contacts.. got some mad knowledge.. and now we are going to soak it all in and spit it out in a revamped NS1463 clothing co.

Thirst for Knowledge

in my quest to school myself in this industry and come up with nice quality products true to our brand. I decided to take a trip to NY.. My goal was to check out the garment industry, check out some stores i have been following online and hopefully make a few contacts with heads in the industry.

so this is how it goes.. my frugal ass or cheap ass which ever way u want to look at it.. i took the chinese bus.. u can't beat like $35.00 round trip baltimore to Ny. So in my genius moment i wanted to make it a day trip and maximize my day in NY. so my bus options were getting to NY like 7.am or like 12noon.. can u guess which i chose? yeap i left baltimore at 4.00 am. I probably wont do that again.

so i got to NY a little after 7am. NY is a crazy ass place.. everything is superfast paced.. and u literally have to take a cab everywhere and it adds up food is cheap tho

unfortunately for me most of the info i came looking for, i didnt get any so i am not any smarter than i was before i left.

One thing i did get to do was eat some good kebab. it took me back to my vienna days... and yeah i checked out a bunch of stores.. checked out their layouts. their products e.t.c one thing i can say about the fashion industry or apparel industry is its all about posturing.. thats got to be the word for the year.. its all about posturing..at the end of it all.. its all fluff and hope that the customers buys into ur either BS or Dream.. in our case u know its dream right :) .. well this is what we have chosen to believe and we thank u for believing with us

Catching up

Ok this is going to be an attempt to make up for very dry/ non existing posting. Things as usual are always taking shape over here at the NS camp. I am going to dedicate some time in fillin yall in u know just to get back on ur good side...

So first we go back to christmas 07. My boy farouk and his friend Haruna made the trip to Bmore from connecticut. Farouk and I go wayyyyy back like 13yrs we usually keep in touch via phone but he made a good decision to come thru to bmore and catch up old times.. and oh yeah he brought his own flat screen Tv to play his x-box to say the least it was hilarious when he brought it out.. but u know it turned out to be great idea cuz i really didnt have much to entertain them with. so FYI to all u good friends out there plan like farouk and carry every thing u can when visiting a friend u never know when u might just need it.

There were a few highlights of his trip. most not captured :) but the one we did capture has to do with my ..hmm let me count it... 1 , 2, 3, 4.. yeah my 4th favorite activity... eating ... So I organized a trip to this brazilian restaurant in bmore.. its called Fogo de Chao the pictures wont do it any justice. its worth every penny of it. and i guaranttee you this will be the only restaurant you will ask them to chill on serving you. cuz the waiters keep the meat flow coming.
